RESOLUTION NO. 5833
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
AUTHORIZING TO EXECUTION OF A LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING AND ENTER
INTO A CONTRACT WITH THE LEAGUE OF MINNESOTA CITIES FOR THE NPDES
PHASE II STORM WATER GUIDE PLAN
WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View is required to comply to the
NPDES Phase II (National Pollution Discharge Elimination System) requirements by
March 10, 2003; and
WHEREAS, the League of Minnesota Cities (LMC) is developing a "Guide
Plan" to assist Cities in meeting all of the requirements of the NPDES Phase II Permit;
and
WHEREAS, the LMC requires cities wishing to participate in the Guide
Plan Program to execute a letter of understanding and submit a fee in the amount of
$5,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
1.
The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized to execute said
letter of understanding and any other subsequent contracts necessary to
participate in the League of Minnesota Cities' (LMC) NPDES Phase II
Storm Water Guide Plan.
2. The Finance Department is hereby authorized to submit a payment in the
amount of $5,000 to the League of Minnesota Cities for participating their
NPDES Phase II Storm Water Guide Plan.
