RESOLUTION NO. 5874
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPROVING A CONTRACT AWARD FOR A PILOT PLANT STUDY FOR
WELL NO.4
WHEREAS, Well Number 4 has been out of service since 1992 due to water quality
issues; and
WHEREAS, tests for radionuclides was performed on Well Nos. 1,2, and 3, before
and after being treated by Treatment Plant No.1; and
WHEREAS, data gained from these tests will be useful in terms of blending water
with these wells; however the effectiveness of treating water derived from Well NO.4 is still
inconclusive.
WHEREAS, to best determine if a treatment plant will effectively treat water from
Well No.4, a Pilot Plant Study should be performed on Well No.4; and
WHEREAS, the firm of Larsco Inc, has submitted a proposal to perform the Pilot
Plant Study at an estimated cost of $6,000.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, THAT the Mounds View City Council does
hereby approve a contract with Larsco Inc, in the estimated amount of $6,000 to conduct a
Pilot Plant Study for Well NO.4.
