RESOLUTION APPROVING REVISED FACILITY EXPANSION PLANS FOR
EDGE\VOOO 1\1lDDLE SCHOOL LOCATED AT 5100 EOGE\VOOO DRIVE;

\VHEREAS, The applicant, Edgewood Middle School (Mounds Vicw Indepcndent
School District (21), applied for a development revicw to construct a 15,669 square foot building
cxpansion and parking lot alteration; and,
\VHEREAS, Edgewood Middle School is located at 5100 Edgcwood Drive, propcrty
zoned R-l, Single-Family Residential, and is lcgally-described as follows:

\VllEREAS, on January 28,2002, the City Council adopted Rcsolution 5688, a rcsolution
approving a conditionalusc pcrmit and development rcview based on the site plans date-stamped
Novcmbcr 28, 200 I; and,
\VHEREAS, the applicant has submitted rcvised plans date-stampcd October 28, 2002
which scale back the expansion arca to approximately 12,000 square fcet and is seeking Council
reapproval of said plans; and,
\VHEREAS, the Planning Commission rcviewed the revised site plans on November 20,
2002 and found thcm to be in compliance with all applicablc Codcs, and as a result adopted
Rcsolution 715-02, a resolution recommcnding City Council approval of the rcvised site plans
datc stampcd Octobcr 28, 2002.
NO\V, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Mounds View City Council, based
upon the recommcndation of thc Planning Commission and its own revicw, docs hercby approve
the reviscd site plans date-stamped October 28, 2002, reducing thc ovcrall cxpansion area from
15,669 square feet to 12,000 square feet, subjcct to thc following provisions:
1. The bui Iding expansions shall match to whatcvcr extent possible thc existing brick
architccture, stylc and colors.
2, The applicant shall providc proof of obtaining a RCWD Pcrmit prior to any City permits
being issucd.

3. The applicant shall consult with the City Forester rcgarding thc species of trces and
landscaping to be planted on the site and thc applicant shall be responsible for submitting
the final landscape ph!,n to the City for its records.
4. Thc applicant shall rcvise the site plan to show a spced bump on the lanc of traffic exiting
thc parking lot onto Edgewood Drivc north of the school.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, all other provisions,
rcquircmcnts and conditions of Resolution 5688 shall rcmain in effect and in force.
