RESOLUTION NO. 5894
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION CLOSING CITY HALL FOR
CHRISTMAS EVE (DECEMBER 24,2002) and
NEW YEAR'S EVE (DECEMBER 31, 2002)
WHEREAS, Section 3.10 of the City of Mounds View Personnel Manual states that
employees will have "4 hours [off] New Year's Eve Day..,in years where New Year's Eve...falls on a
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday; and
WHEREAS, in 2002 New Year's Eve falls on a Tuesday and New Year's Day falls on a
Wednesday; and
WHEREAS, Section 3.10 of the City of Mounds View Personnel Manual states that
employees will have "4 hour"s [off] Christmas Eve Day.. .in years where Christmas Eve,. .falls on a
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday; and
WHEREAS, in 2002 Christmas Eve falls on a Tuesday and Christmas falls on a
Wednesday; and
WHEREAS, staff is anticipating few, if any, calls or visits from residents on Christmas
Eve and New Year's Eve; and
WHEREAS, it is anticipated that several employees will request the use of personal time
on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that City Hall will be closed all day December
24,2002 and all day December 31,2002; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all employees will be given the
option of using 4 hours of vacation, flex time, compensatory time or unpaid leave; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that all police personnel will work
their regularly scheduled hours.
