RESOLUTION NO. 5895
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING MARY BURG AS THE
GOLF COURSE MANAGER
WHEREAS, upon direction from the City Council the Golf Course Manager position was
advertised; and
WHEREAS, the City has received and reviewed approximately 15 applications for the
position and interviewed four candidates; and
WHEREAS, Mary Burg's skills and experience most closely match the City's needs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council appoints
Mary Burg as the City of Mounds View Golf Course Manager, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council authorizes a
starting salary Step 3 ($59,400) with an increase to Step 4 ($62,700) after six months of employment
pending satisfactory performance and an increase to Step 5 ($66,000) after one year of employment
pending satisfactory performance; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that pending satisfactory reference, criminal, credit and
driver's license background checks Mrs. Burg will begin employment with the City on December 23, 2002
working up to 10 hours weekly at a rate of $28.55 per hour (step 3); and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Mrs, Burg will receive three weeks of banked vacation
at the start of employment. Mrs. Burg will accrue three weeks of vacation annually for the first five years
of employment. All other personnel policies will apply normally.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Mrs, Burg will begin working full-time February 3,
2003 at which time Mrs, Burg will become eligible for health insurance and other benefits as outlined in
the City's personnel manual.
