RESOLUTION NO. 5899
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
County of Ramsey
State of Minnesota
ADOPTING THE 2003 PROPERTY TAX LEVY AND GENERAL FUND BUDGET
WHEREAS, the City Council conducted numerous meetings and made available
detailed copies of the proposed 2003 Budget; and
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in accordance with the State
of Minnesota Truth In Taxation requirements on the proposed 2003 Budget on
December 2, 2002; and
WHEREAS, when the Fire Improvement Bonds of 1991 were issued, the City's
2003 debt service payment was scheduled to be $77,339, however, due to changes in
the allocation of costs between participating cities, Mounds View's actual 2003 debt
service cost on said bonds will be $65,658.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Mounds View that the following appropriations for the calendar year 2003 are hereby
approved:

Community Development
Police
Fire
Public Works Admin.
Streets
Fleet management
Building maintenance
Recreation
Parks & Athletic Fields

Fire Bonds of 1991 Debt Service

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that following property tax levy for 2003 is hereby
approved:
General levy
Fire Improvement Bond levy
Total 2003 property tax levy

and the City Clerk-Administrator is hereby directed to notify Ramsey County and the
State of Minnesota of said 2003 property tax levy.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that, the final detail of the 2003 budget shall be
incorporated with and included as part of this resolution as Attachment A.
Said resolution was declared to have been duly passed and adopted this 9th day of
December, 2002,
