RESOLUTION NO. 5910
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF A REPLACEMENT TRACTOR FOR THE
PARKS DIVISION
WHEREAS, the City Council had previously approved the purchase of a
1989 Ford 4630 Tractor; and
WHEREAS, said tractor has been in use for fourteen years and has
reached its economical useful life; and
WHEREAS, said tractor has a the trade in value of $9,575.00; and
WHEREAS, $70,000 has been budgeted in the Parks Division 2003
budget (100-4360-7030) for the replacement of the1989 Ford 4630 Tractor; and
WHEREAS, Staff has performed an extensive study and evaluation of
tractors that are designed to meet our needs; and
. WHEREAS, the AEBI Terratrac TT70S Tractor has proven to be safe,
dependable and user friendly; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends purchasing an 80" blower and ruff-cut
mower attachments; and
WHEREAS, said tractor would be purchased under state contract and
thus forego the requirement to acquire additional bids; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, THAT the Mounds View City
Council does hereby approve the purchase of an AEBI Terratrac TT70S Tractor
along with the aforementioned accessories under state contract in the amount of
$74,025.00 and approve the trade in of the 1989 Ford 4630 Tractor at a credited
value of $9,575.00. Including tax, this represents a net City cost of $68,639.25.
