<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION No. 5925 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SEVERANCE PACKAGES FOR WILLIAM HANSON <br /> <br />WHEREAS, William Hanson has served the City of Mounds View for 30 years; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, William Hanson's last day of employment with the City was on <br />December 31,2002; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, William Hanson is entitled to the following benefits per the City of <br />Mounds View Personnel Manual, Section 4.35D Separation Compensation: <br /> <br />. 100% of accrued vacation time calculated at 214.85 hours <br /> <br />o 214.85 hours of vacation x $19.32 per hour=$4,150.90 <br /> <br />. Option 1: a lump sum payment of fifty percent of accrued sick leave, or <br />Option 2: sixty-five percent of sick leave accrued for use toward the retiree's group <br />health, dental and/or life insurance premiums for as long as the funds are available <br />up to the retiree's 65th birthday. If Option 2 is elected, these funds may be used only <br />for the retiree's health, dental and/or life insurance premiums and at no time may <br />they be taken for cash or for any other purpose. <br /> <br />William Hanson has elected Option 2 which is as follows: <br /> <br />o 1258 hours of accrued sick leave x 65% x $19.32 per hour= $15,797.96 <br /> <br />. Total: $19,948.86 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, William Hanson is paid from the Water Fund. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council <br />does hereby approve the aforementioned provisions for William Hanson and directs <br />Staff to move these funds from their respective reserve account to the General Fund for <br />monthly payout as insurance premiums and a lump sum payment for vacation pay for <br />Mr. Hanson. <br />
