<br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 5942 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AWARDING THE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR THE WATER TOWER <br />REHABILITATION PROJECT AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR TO SIGN SAID CONTRACT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 5932 adopted by the City <br />Council on January 13, 2003 sealed bids were received and tabulated on <br />February 6, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. for the Water Tower Rehabilitation Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the low responsive and responsible bid was received <br />from Champion Coatings Incorporated at their bid price of $52,100.00; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the 2003 Enterprise Fund, Water Infrastructure and <br />Equipment Maintenance Department, Repairs Account (Account 700-4823-5150) <br />has $40,000.00 budgeted for this maintenance project. <br /> <br />. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the <br />City of Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> <br />1. That the bid of Champion Coatings Incorporated in the amount of <br />$52,100.00 for the Water Tower Rehabilitation Project is the lowest <br />responsive bid. <br /> <br />2. That a contract to perform said work is awarded to Champion <br />Coatings Incorporated and that the Mayor and City Administrator <br />are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with said <br />bidder. <br /> <br />3. The Public Works Department is authorized and directed to return <br />the deposit made for said bids, except the deposit of the successful <br />bidder, which shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />Adopted this 10th day of February 2003. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />(seal) <br /> <br />-J~~ <br />James Ericson, Interim City Administrator <br />
