RESOLUTION NO. 4490
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION APPROVING A CREDIT CARD PROCESS FOR REGISTERING
FOR RECREATION ACTIVITY ClASSES AND ACfIVITIES.
WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View is interested in good customer
service; and
WHEREAS, credit card payment is becoming a service offered in several
city government operations; and
WHEREAS, the Mounds View Parks and Recreation staff believe that
credit card registration opportunities would be a benefit to the participants since it
would allow telephone registrations without putting any risk to the recreation activity
functions; and
WHEREAS, the Mounds View Parks and Recreation staff have received
information regarding credit card registration processes from neighboring communities
and have met with Mark Malone from Western Bank and Jeff Schuetz from Elan
Financial Services for cost information and set-up; and
WHEREAS, staff have considered the cost and the benefits and believes
that increased revenue generated from convenient registration process will pay for the
costs incurred for offering this services; and
WHEREAS, staff wishes to implement this credit card registration option
by Spring registration, 1994. .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the
City of Mounds View approves the initiation of a credit card process for recreation
activity registrations.
