CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE TEN RULES OF
COUNCIL/STAFF INTERACTION
WHEREAS, the Mounds View Staff and City Council attended a retrcat on March 12-13, 1999; and
WHEREAS, ten rules wcre established for City Council! Stafr interaction; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City Council and Staff to adopt these rules formally; and
WHEREAS, the ten rules arc as follows:
1. Respect onc another! No abuse
2. Golden Rule
3. Appreciate the value of each team member
4. Communicating the "Whys"
5. Accepting our limitations and learning from our failures
6. Realistic expectations or cvcryone! patience
7. Follow the chain of command
8. Identify and prioritize issues- clearly state directions and goals
9. Tell the painful truth - No B.S.
10. Keep your sense or humor and lind some enjoyment
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the undersigned Staff and City Council agree to
follow the aforcmentioned rules of interaction as it has been dctermined to be in thc best interest ofthe City of
Mounds View.
