RESOLUTION NO. 4199
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE REQUEST FOR USE OF
THE 1992 FUND CARRY-OVER AND A PORTION OF THE FUND BALANCE
FOR THE SUMMER OPERATION AT LAKESIDE PARK BEACH.
WHEREAS, the Lakeside Park beach water conditions are adequate for
swimming; and
WHEREAS, swimming at Lakeside Park beach is a high demand summer
leisure activity; and
WHEREAS, $2390.00 was carried over from the 1991 budget, and there is
a Fund Balance of $8,134.00 of which $3,129.13 is requested for use plus the $1,500
budgeted by each community for a total budget request of $8,519.13 for the 1992 summer
operation cost of the Lakeside Park beach operation; and
WHEREAS, adding the $2,390.00 carry-over and $3,129.13 from the Fund
Balance for the cost of lifeguards would extend the time that lifeguards are on duty to
Monday, June 22 through Friday, July 31 from 1:00 p.m - 7:00 p.m.; and
WHEREAS, the requested budget increase would not affect the General
Fund; and
WHEREAS, Spring Lake Park City Council as the partner in the joint
powers operation of Lakeside Park has approved the extended budget of $8,519.13 for
1992.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Mounds View approves the amendment to the Lakeside Park budget for the 1992
operation of Lakeside Park beach including $1,500.00 contributed by each City
($3,000.00) and the addition of the 1991 carry-over of $2,390.17 and $3,129.13 of the
Fund Balance ending with a total budget of $8,519.13.
