Closing the DARE Special Revenue Fund
WHEREAS, the City desires to maintain accounting records that follow Generally
Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP); and
WHEREAS, GAAP overarching principals state that no more funds then necessary
should be used to record accounting activity; and
WHEREAS, the DARE Special Revenue Fund is no longer necessary and any
future activity can be accounted for in the General Fund.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds
View that the DARE Special Revenue Fund shall be closed to the General Fund and staff
is authorized to make the necessary transactions and budget adjustments to facilitate the
fund closure.
Adopted this 28th day of September 2015.
