CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF THE APPl-ICA TION FOR A COMMUNITY f
DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) BY NORTHWEST YOUTH AND FAMILY
SERVICES (NYFS)
WHEREAS, NYFS has provided essential development services for the youth and families of
Mounds View since 1976; and
WHEREAS, NYFS is finding more and more people in need of financial assistance in order
to make use of NYFS' mental health programs, and
. WHEREAS, the unique partnership between NYFS and its ten Ramsey County member cities
has resulted in the ability to provide an essential community service that none of the cities could
provide individually, and
WHEREAS, NYFS is in need of assistance in purchasing a building in which to house these
essential community services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Mounds View that
the City of Mounds View enthusiastically supports the award of a 1994 CDBG to NYFS.
