RESOLUTION NO. 4503
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
. COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A CONTRIBUTION TO THE
BUSINESS LANDFILL COALITION
WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View, together with the Mounds
View business community and Mounds View Area Business Association
is committed to a pUblic\private partnership in lobbying efforts to
reform federal and state Superfund legislation; and
WHEREAS, the Business Landfill Coali tion has been formed,
composed of businesses and cities from Anoka and Ramsey Counties,
to begin a unified lobbying effort for Superfund reform; and
WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View understands well the dramatic
impact that a Superfund landfill cleanup activity can have on the
financial viability of a community, for both residents and
businesses; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to formally declare its support of
the business lobbying effort; and
WHEREAS, the City also wishes to participate in a joint
private/public partnership in the lobbying effort.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City council in and (
for the City of Mounds View does hereby declare its support and
authorizes a contribution of $500 to the Business Landfill
Coalition to be funded out of the Contingency Fund, 100-4500-910-
000.
