RESOLUTION NO. 4540
AUTHORIZING A POSITION RECLASSIFICATION AND FIVE STEP
COMPENSATION PLAN FOR THE PLANNING TECHNICIAN
WHEREAS, Paul Harrington was hired by the City on September
17, 1990 as the City's Planning Technician; and
WHEREAS, Paul Harrington assumed responsibility for the
Community Development Department in the Spring of 1993 after the
departure of the Public Works Director; and
WHEREAS, Paul Harrington has been performing the duties and
responsibilities of a department head for the past year; and
WHEREAS, it is the Council's desire to reclassify his position
and Five Step Compensation Plan to be consistent with the duties,
responsibilities and expectations of a department head.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City Council in and
for the City of Mounds View does hereby reclassify the position of
Planning Technician to the position of Community Development
Coordinator with the following Five Step Plan:

FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the Community Development
shall begin at Step 1, effective April 4, 1994, with
to Step 2 after 6 months, Step 3 after one year, Step
years and Step 5 after 3 years.
