HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 8477 RESOLUTION 8477 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA AUTHORIZE STANTEC TO PERFORM CONSTRUCTION SERVICES FOR THE GROVELAND LIFT STATION. WHEREAS, a design for the rehabilitation for the Groveland Lift Station has been completed by Stantec Consulting Services as directed and authorized in Resolution 8345; and WHEREAS, the construction bid documents for the Street and Utility Improvement Program — Area H included the Groveland Lift Station rehabilitation design; and, WHEREAS, the Groveland Lift Station rehabilitation work was included as part of the construction contract awarded to Northwest Asphalt, Inc. on April 13, 2015 via Resolution 8393; and WHEREAS, Stantec Consulting Services, Inc. was authorized to provide professional services associated with the construction phase of Street and Utility Improvement Program —Area H on April 13, 2015 via Resolution 8393; and WHEREAS, the necessary construction services for the rehabilitation of the Groveland Lift Station are separate and unique from the construction services provided for the Street and Utility Improvement Program —Area H; and WHEREAS, Stantec Consulting Services, Inc. has provided a fee proposal to perform construction services related to the lift station rehabilitation work. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: 1. Stantec Consulting Services, Inc. is authorized to perform construction services for the Groveland lift station rehabilitation work as included in the 2015 Street and Utility Improvement Project — Area H. Compensation will be on an hourly basis plus reimbursable expenses for an estimated fee of$29,000. 2. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to execute all appropriate docusments to effectuate the actions contemplated by this Resolution 3. The Mayor and City Administrator, staff and consultants are hereby authorized and directed to take any and all additional steps and actions necessary or convenient in order to accomplish the intent of this Resolution.
