RESOLUTION NO. 8476 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> APPROVING A REVISED JOB DESCRIPTION AND AUTHORIZATION TO <br /> ADVERTISE FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS MAINTENANCE MECHANIC POSITION <br /> WHEREAS, Steven Vacek has resigned from his position effective November 30, <br /> 2015; and <br /> WHEREAS, when job vacancies occur, it is desirable to review job descriptions to <br /> ensure the requirements accurately reflect the expectations of the City Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, Staff has reviewed the Public Work Maintenance Mechanic position <br /> and recommends a number of revisions to better align the description with present duties <br /> as assigned; and <br /> WHEREAS, Staff further requests authorization to advertise for the vacant position <br /> after the five (5) day internal posting of the position is completed in accordance with the <br /> current Public Works Collective Bargaining Unit Agreement. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br /> View, Ramsey County, Minnesota to approve the revised job description and advertise for <br /> the upcoming vacancy for the Public Works Maintenance Mechanic position. <br /> Adopted this 9th day of November, 2015. <br /> /4.6"2;‘,00/ <br /> e Flaherty, Y ayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> James Ericson, City Administrator <br /> (seal) <br />
