STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION APPROVING SEVERANCE FOR
STEVE VACEK
MOUNDS VIEW PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, Steve Vacek submitted his resignation for retirement resigned from the
Mounds View Public Works Department effective November 30, 3015; and
WHEREAS, the balance of accrued and unused sick leave time is 7.82 hours; and
WHEREAS, the balance of accrued and unused vacation is 20.20 hours; and
WHEREAS, Steve Vacek's current rate of pay is $26.93 per hour; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Article 26 of the Public Works Collective Bargaining
Agreement, the maximum potential payout of accrued/unused vacation time will be 20.20
accrued/unused vacation hours x his hourly rate of $26.93 = $543.99 and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Article 27.1 of the Public Works Collective
Bargaining Agreement, the maximum potential payout of accrued/unused sick time will be
7.82 hours x 50% x his hourly rate of $26.93 = $105.30 into Steve Vacek's Retirement
Health Savings Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council
approves a one-time payout of vacation time to Steve Vacek not to exceed $543.99, in
accordance with Article 26 of the Public Works Collective Bargaining Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mounds View City
Council approves a one-time payout of sick time not to exceed $105.30 into Steve Vacek's
Retirement Health Savings Plan in accordance with Article 27.1 of the Public Works
Collective Bargaining Agreement.
