CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPROVING ROTARY CLUB MEMBERSHIP
WHEREAS, the City's adopted goals for the year include to "Improve
communications with the public" and to "Improve the effectiveness in delivery of
services"; and
WHEREAS, the New Brighton/Mounds View Rotary Club is part of the
international. organization of community leaders within the Twin Cities area and Rotary
Club members "lead and participate in strategic humanitarian and community projects;
encourage high ethical standards in all vocations; and help build goodwill and peace in
the community"; and
WHEREAS, membership in the New Brighton/Mounds View Rotary Club would
provide an important connection for the City, including additional access to the business
community, volunteers, and other resources, positively affecting communications and the
delivery of services to the community; and
WHEREAS, the cost of membership would be $434 for the balance of 2006, that
• would be reallocated out of the current administrative budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota that the City Administrator is hereby
authorized to join the New Brighton/Mounds View Rotary Club as a representative of the
City and to reallocate funds within the 2006 administrative budget for said purpose.
