Home My WebLink AboutResolution 6861• RESOLUTION NO. 6861 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA APPROVING A PERMIT APPLICATION FOR THE MOUNDS VIEW COMMUNITY THEATRE, A CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION TO CONDUCT CHARITABLE GAMBLING FOR THE MOUNDS VIEW FESTIVAL IN THE PARK CELEBRATION ON AUGUST 20, 2006 WHEREAS, the Mounds View Community Theatre has requested that the City Council allow them to conduct charitable gambling (BINGO) at the Mounds View City Park for the Mounds View Festival in the Park celebration; and WHEREAS, the Gambling Control Board requires that the local unit of government (city or county) pass a resolution specifically approving or denying requests to conduct charitable gambling; and WHEREAS, the Mounds View Community Theatre, is in compliance with • all requirements of the Mounds View Municipal Code with regard to charitable gambling regulations; and WHEREAS, the Mounds View Community Theatre has requested aone- day charitable gambling permit; and WHEREAS, the Mounds View Community Theatre will be conducting BINGO for the Mounds View Festival in the Park celebration on August 20, 2006. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Counci! does hereby authorize Mounds View Community Theatre, to conduct charitable gambling at the Mounds View City Park on August 20, 2006, located at 2401 Highway 10 in Mounds View.
