• RESOLUTION 6889 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AWARDING THE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR THE MEDTRONIC <br />UT{L{TY EXTENSION PROJECT AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE SAID CONTRACT <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 6826 adopted by the City <br />Council on June 12, 2006, sealed bids were received on July 13, 2006, at 10:00 <br />a.m. for the Medtronic Utility Extension Project; and <br />WHEREAS, the low responsive bid was received from Dave <br />Perkins Contracting, Incorporated with a Base Bid $444,509.00 for the Medtronic <br />Utility Extension Project; and <br />WHEREAS, the Base Bid is the most the economical way to <br />provide utilities to the Medtronic site and is also the preferred alignment by <br />Medtronic. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the <br />• City of Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as foNows: <br />1. That the Base Bid of Dave Perkins Contracting, Incorporated in the <br />amount of $444,509.00 for the Medtronic Utility Extension Project is <br />the lowest responsive bid. <br />2. That a contract to pertorm work according to the base bid is <br />awarded to Dave Perkins Contracting, Incorporated. <br />3. Bid Alternate No. 1 and Bid Alternate No. 2 are hereby rejected. <br />4. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and <br />directed to enter into a contract with said bidder. <br />5.
