CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
AWARDING THE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR THE MEDTRONIC
UT{L{TY EXTENSION PROJECT AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY
ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE SAID CONTRACT
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 6826 adopted by the City
Council on June 12, 2006, sealed bids were received on July 13, 2006, at 10:00
a.m. for the Medtronic Utility Extension Project; and
WHEREAS, the low responsive bid was received from Dave
Perkins Contracting, Incorporated with a Base Bid $444,509.00 for the Medtronic
Utility Extension Project; and
WHEREAS, the Base Bid is the most the economical way to
provide utilities to the Medtronic site and is also the preferred alignment by
Medtronic.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
• City of Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as foNows:
1. That the Base Bid of Dave Perkins Contracting, Incorporated in the
amount of $444,509.00 for the Medtronic Utility Extension Project is
the lowest responsive bid.
2. That a contract to pertorm work according to the base bid is
awarded to Dave Perkins Contracting, Incorporated.
3. Bid Alternate No. 1 and Bid Alternate No. 2 are hereby rejected.
4. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and
directed to enter into a contract with said bidder.
5. The Public Works Department is authorized and directed to return
the deposit made for said bids, except the deposit of the successful
bidder, which shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
