CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A DONATION FROM BETHLEHEM BAPTIST CHURCH
WHEREAS, Bethlehem Baptist Church has generously supported activities that have
benefited the citizens of Mounds View; and
WHEREAS, Bethlehem Baptist Church would like to continue that support by making a
contribution to the City of Mounds View of $13,005 to support the following activities: $2,000 to
continue funding the DARE program; $2,500 to the Mounds View Community Center to replace
well-used play equipment for pre-school aged children; $2,500 to support the STAND and SAIL
programs for students attending Edgewood Middle School; $1,500 to support the 2006 Mounds
View Festival in the Park; $2,500 to support the YMCA Y-Partner program at the Mounds View
Community Center for scholarships and program development; $2,005 to Community
Emergency Assistance Program (CEAP) to provide assistance to, and support of, families in
crisis in Northern Ramsey and Anoka Counties; and
WHEREAS, Bethlehem Baptist Church would also like to support activities that enhance
• and improve the economic climate of the City of Mounds View; and
WHEREAS, Bethlehem Baptist Church would Pike to contribute $2,601 to the Mounds
View Economic Development Authority in support. of activities that improve the economic
climate of Mounds View.
NOW THEREFORE, BE 1T RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Mounds
View gratefully acknowledges the donation of $13,005 and $2,601 from Bethlehem Baptist
Church and amends the 2006 Budget accordingly.
Adopted this 14th day of August, 2006.
