CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPROVING THE COUNTY ROAD 10 PEDESTRIAN CROSSING OPTIONS
REPORT
WHEREAS, the City Council has requested options to review for
pedestrian crossings along County Road 10; and
WHEREAS, on September 5, 2006 a draft report pertaining to pedestrian
crossing options was presented to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of this draft report was to introduce pedestrian
crossing options to the City Council and to initiate discussion of what options the
City may be interested in incorporating into the design of intersections along
County Road 10 as the City move forward with the County Road 10 Corridor
Improvement Program; and
WHEREAS, the City's engineering firm of Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik,
and Associates (BRAA) has completed a final report listing and comparing
• several pedestrian crossing options; and
WHEREAS, the final report is the same as the draft report that was
introduced on September 5th with the exception of an appendix that was added to
the report that contains a summary of discussion issues that were identified on
September 5th; and
WHEREAS, this final report can be used as a guide for providing
pedestrian crossing options as the City progresses with County Road 10 Corridor
Improvement Program by upgrading various intersections along the corridor.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, THAT the Mounds View City
Council does hereby approve the County Road 10 Pedestrian Crossing Options
Report.
