STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE GRANTING OF AN EASEMENT TO XCEL
ENERGY ON LAND ADJACENT TO 2203 LOIS DRIVE
WHEREAS, residents Mike Cardinal and Mary Jo Verschay, property owners of
32203 Lois Drive, have requested the relocation of utility lines that cross their property; and,
WHEREAS, Xcel Energy has agreed to resolve certain utility issues on the Cardinal
/Verschay property which would involve the erection of two utility poles on City owned land
directly behind and adjacent to the Cardinal /Verschay property; and
WHEREAS, before the work can commence, the City will need to grant a utility
easement to Xcel Energy for the siting of the poles and stringing of utility lines.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds
View that the attached easement document be executed which will allow for the siting of two
utility poles and the stringing of utility lines as shown on the plans submitted by Xcel Energy.
• NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Mounds View that all costs associated with the granting of the easement and subsequent
utility work, including legal, surveying, engineering and construction, be the sole
responsibility of property owners Mike Cardinal and Mary Jo Verschay and Xcel Energy.
