CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
AUTHORIZATION TO CONTRACT WITH CITIES DIGITAL FOR
LASERFICHE DOCUMENT IMAGING SERVICES
WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View desires to implement a document
management and imaging system solution to address its present and future document
storage and retrieval needs; and,
WHEREAS, the City has received a contract proposal from Cities Digital to
coordinate the installation and set-up of the Laserfiche document imaging system,
acquisition of requisite equipment and conversion of existing documents; and,
WHEREAS, the implementation and system development would be coordinated
over a two year period of time with hardware installation and priority document conversion
occurring in the first year, and the remaining documents and finance department software
module concluded in the second year; and,
WHEREAS, the anticipated cost of the project would amount to $44,300 with the
first installment of $22,100 paid in 2007 and the second installment of $22,200 paid in
2008, excluding a prorated share of the annual software maintenance fees to the Metro I-
net.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the City Council of the City of
Mounds View hereby authorizes the execution of a contract with Cities Digital for the
implementation of the Laserfiche document management system in accordance with the
proposal and estimate dated November 8, 2006.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the 2007 Budget shall be
increased to reflect the planned expenditure of $22,100 to Cities Digital from the Special
Projects Fund, 280-4180-7030.
