STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CONSULTANT SERVICES IN ASSOCIATION
WITH THE RECRUITMENT AND HIRING OF THE
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW CHIEF OF POLICE
WHEREAS, on February 8, 2016, the City Council authorized the advertisement of
the position of Police Chief; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes that consultant services will be required to
assist staff with the recruitment and interviewing for this position; and,
WHEREAS, staff has requested proposals from qualified executive search firms and
is in receipt of responses from three such firms: Waters & Company, Setter&Associates
and David Drown Associates.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Mounds View City Council
authorizes the engagement of consultant services to assist staff in two phases, with costs
not to exceed $9,000 for Phase 1 and $2,500 for Phase 2, fora total amount not to exceed
$11,500.
