CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
DENIAL OF THE PLAN SUBMITTED BY T-MOBILE PLAN TO CONSTRUCT A
COMMUNICATION POLE AND ASSOCIATED SHELTER AT GROVELAND
PARK
WHEREAS, at the November 6, 2006 Work Session, a proposal
submitted by T-Mobile to construct a communication Pole and associated shelter
at Groveland Park was presented to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, on November 16, 2006, this proposal was presented
and discussed by the Parks and Recreation and Forestry Commission; and
WHEREAS, on November 27, 2006, the City Council indicated that
they wanted the T-Mobile proposal to be brought back to them for consideration
on December 11, 2006; and
WHEREAS, on November 27, 2006, T-Mobile submitted revised
plans in an effort to address issues that were raised by the Parks and Recreation
and Forestry Commission; and
WHEREAS, individual members of the Parks and Recreation and
Forestry Commission did provide unofficial comments on the revised plans via
email; and
WHEREAS, based on said unofficial comments from individual
members of the Parks and Recreation and Forestry Commission and the lack of
an official recommendation from the Commission on the revised plan, Staff is
recommending denial of the current version of the T-Mobile proposal.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
The plan that was submitted by T-Mobile to construct a
communication Pole and associated shelter at Groveland Park
which is dated November 3, 2006 and revised November 27, 2006
is hereby denied.
2. The City Council does hereby note that the T-Mobile proposed plan
is not permissible by City Code and directs that no further action be
taken on this plan.
