STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION GRANTING THE COMMUNITY PARTNERS WITH YOUTH A ONE DAY
PERMIT TO CONDUCT A RAFFLE AT THE MERMAID ENTERTAINMENT AND
EVENT CENTER IN MOUNDS VIEW
WHEREAS, the Community Partners with Youth has requested that the Council
allow them to conduct charitable gambling at Pinewood Elementary School on October 25,
2007; and
WHEREAS, the Gambling Control Board requires that the local unit of government
(city of county) pass a resolution specifically approving or denying requests to conduct
charitable gambling/raffles; and
WHEREAS, the Community partners with Youth is in compliance with all
requirements of the Mounds View Municipal Code with regard to charitable gambling
regulations.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City Council does
hereby authorize Community Partners with Youth to conduct charitable gambling at The
Mermaid Entertainment and Event Center on October 25, 2007.
Adopted this 2nd day of January, 2007.
