CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
ACCEPTING PROPOSAL FOR AUCTION SERVICES
WHEREAS, the City desires to sell golf course fix assets, furniture and
equipment in a fair and timely manner; and
WHEREAS, some of the assets would be retained by the City or sold in
advance at established prices to other public entities, with the remaining items to
be sold at auction; and
WHEREAS, the City solicited proposals from auction services and have
received one proposal and one quote for services; and
WHEREAS, the Council recently established Thursday, September 29,
2005 as the last day of golf operations and closing on the land is expected to
occur shortly thereafter; and
WHEREAS, the auction date would be moved to the week of October 17,
2005 based up on the September 29, 2005, closing of golf course operations to
the public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City
Council does hereby approve the proposal for action services as submitted by
Fahey Sales Auctioneers & Appraisers dated September 2, 2005, subject to the
amendment of the proposal to include an auction date to occur the week of
October 17, 2005, and subject to the actual closing of the golf course property
occurring within that timeframe, and hereby authorize staff to enter into such an
agreement for services.
