CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPOINTMENT OF KATHRYN ANN SMITH
TO THE POLICE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION
WHEREAS, Chapter 404 of the Mounds View City Municipal Code established the
Mounds View Police Civil Service Commission; and
WHEREAS, Section 404.01 of the above mentioned Chapter sets the method for
the appointment of the Police Civil Service Commissioners; and
WHEREAS, Section 404.01 states that Police Commissioners shall be appointed by
the Mayor with the approval of a majority of the Council; and
WHEREAS,there are two (2) vacant seats on the Police Civil Service Commission;
and
WHEREAS, Staff and the Mounds View City Council have reviewed the current
application on file at the Mounds View City offices for this appointment, and has
recommended for its approval of Kathryn Ann Smith for appointment to the Mounds View
Police Civil Service Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that a majority of the Mounds View City
Council does hereby approve Kathryn Ann Smith to Police Civil Service Commission,
effective June 1, 2016, with a term expiration of December 31, 2016.
Adopted this 25th day of April, 2016.
