CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ASSISTANT TO THE CITY
ADMINISTRATOR JOB DESCRIPTION AND APPOINTING THE POSITION TO
DESAREE CRANE
WHEREAS, the Administrative Assistant to the Administration, Desaree
Crane, assumed many of the duties of the Assistant City Administrator with the
vacancy of that position at the end of 2002; and
WHEREAS, Resolution 5977 was passed by the City Council, which
provided additional compensation to the Administrative Assistant position at a
rate of ten percent (10%) effective March 1, 2003; and
WHEREAS, during this time period, work responsibilities for this position
have included City Elections, human resource duties, plus additional managerial
and administrative duties commensurate with the position description; and
WHEREAS, Desaree Crane has been performing the duties of the
Assistant to the City Administrator job for over 2 and a half years and is currently
at Step 5 of the salary range; and
WHEREAS, Labor Relations has pertormed an assessment of the
Assistant to the City Administrator job description and the results of the
assessment indicate that the position is scaled at a recommended 385 HAY
Points, with a maximum (Step 5) of $56,000; and
WHEREAS, Desaree Crane meets all requirements under the Assistant to
the City Administrator Job Description; and
WHEREAS, the salary range and steps for this position shall be:
Step 1 Step 2 Step 3 Step 4 Step 5
$44,800 $47,600 $50,400 $53,200 $56,000
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Desaree Crane be
reclassified into the Assistant to the City Clerk/Administrator position.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Desaree Crane
be placed at Step 5 of the scale effective July 1, 2005.
