CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION APPROVING SEVERANCE PAYMENT TO
POLICE CHIEF TOM KINNEY
WHEREAS, Tom Kinney submitted his resignation and his last day of employment
was April 29, 2016; and
WHEREAS, the balance of accrued and unused sick leave time is 920.86 hours;
and
WHEREAS, the balance of accrued and unused vacation is 353.06 hours; and
WHEREAS, Tom Kinney's current rate of pay is $55.42 per hour; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 3.45 of the Mounds View Personnel
Manual, the maximum potential payout of accrued/unused sick time will be 920.86 hours x
65% x his hourly rate of$55.42 = $33,172.20 into Tom Kinney's Retirement Health Savings
Plan (RHSP); and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 3.45 of the Mounds View Personnel
Manual, the maximum potential payout of accrued/unused vacation time will be 353.06
hours x his hourly rate of $55.42 = $19,566.59 into Tom Kinney's Retirement Health
Savings Plan (RHSP).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council
approves a one-time payout of sick time not to exceed $33,172.20 into Tom Kinney's
RHSP in accordance with Section 3.45 of the Mounds View Personnel Manual.
NOW, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council approves a
one-time payout of vacation time not to exceed $19,566.59 into Tom Kinney's RHSP in
accordance with Section 3.45 of the Mounds View Personnel Manual.
