CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW EMERGENCY DECLARATION
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View has sustained severe losses
of a major proportion, brought on by high winds, rain, and hail on September 21,
2005, and
WHEREAS, The City of Mounds View is a public entity within the
State of Minnesota, and
WHEREAS, the following conditions exist in the City of Mounds
View as a result of the disaster:
1. Electrical power outages for approximately 1/3 of the City
2. Numerous power lines down throughout the City.
3. Flooding in low areas of the City.
4. Trees uprooted and branches down creating a large amount
• of debris throughout many areas of the city
5. Downed trees caused damage to homes, and cars in many
areas of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor of the City of Mounds
View acting on behalf of and for the people of Mounds View declare that a state
of emergency exists within Mounds View, with all the powers and responsibilities
attending thereto as provided by Chapter 12, Minnesota Statute, and The City of
Mounds View resolution titled City of Mounds View Emergency Declaration dated
9-22-05.
