CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
ADOPT RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT TO ACCEPT ALTERNATES
FOR CONTRACTS 2.20 AND 2.60 IN BID PACKAGE #1 FOR
NEW SBM FIRE STATION #3
WHEREAS, pursuant to City Council Resolution of a Capital Improvement Plan for the
Spring Lake Park Fire Department Inc. that included construction of a new fire station and said
bids were received on September 22, 2005, opened and tabulated according to law, and the
following alternate was received from the low bidder, Northwest Asphalt, complying with the
advertisement for Earthwork:
Northwest Asphalt
Deduct $1,319; and
WHEREAS, Northwest Asphalt, Shakopee Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder.

WHEREAS, the following bids were received on September 22, 2005, opened and
tabulated according to law, and the following alternate was received from the low bidder,
Midwest Asphalt, complying with the advertisement for Asphalt & Site Concrete:
Midwest Asphalt
Add $16,800; and
WHEREAS, Midwest Asphalt of Minnetonka, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View
adopt this resolution of support in the Blaine City Council awarding the deduct alternate to the
Earthwork contract and the add alternate to the Asphalt and Site Concrete contract as identified
above.
