Approving a Rent Abatement for Creative Kids Day Care Center
WHEREAS, the City Council in its' capacity as the landlord for tenants leasing space in the
Mounds View Community Center may grant rent abatements; and
WHEREAS, a broken pipe flooded four of the six rooms occupied by Creative Kids Day Care
Center and displaced the day care center while repairs were made; and
WHEREAS, the day care center incurred losses of $3,475.10 related to this displacement; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has discussed this matter and wishes to abate a portion of the rent.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View that
Creative Kids Day Care Center will receive a rent abatement of $3,475.10 towards future rents.
Adopted this 12th day of December, 2005.
