STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HIRE OF ISAAC STENSLAND TO THE
POSITION OF FULL-TIME, TEMPORARY BUILDING INSPECTOR WITHIN THE
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the Mounds View City Council has given direction to advertise forthe position
of full-time temporary building inspector within the Community Development Department; and,
WHEREAS, the position was posted and the City received twenty-two applications; and,
WHEREAS, Isaac Stensland possesses the necessary background, training and skills to
perform the duties assigned to this temporary, full-time position; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Stensland shat{ be compensated at the rate of $19.96 per hour, Step 1 of
the negotiated wage schedule; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Stensland's employment shall begin on or after January 24, 2006; and,
• NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council does hereby
approve the hire of Isaac Stensland to the position of full-time, temporary building inspector
within the Community Development Department, subject to satisfactory background checks.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this is subject to the City
Administrator entering into a Letter of Understanding with the AFSCME union in regard to the
temporary status of this position.
