STATE OF MINNESOTA
REVISING THE PERSONNEL MANUAL TO ADD SECTION 3.50, AUTHORIZING THE
UNIFORM ALLOWANCES FOR NON-UNION PUBLIC WORKS AND POLICE
DEPARTMENT EMPLOYEES
WHEREAS, it has been past practice that non-union Public Works employees
were given the same uniform allowance reimbursement as the Public Works Union
employees; and
WHEREAS, it has been pact practice that non-union Police Department
employees were given the same uniform allowance reimbursement as the Police L.E.L.S
union contracts; and
WHEREAS, there is currently no written policy that addresses uniform
allowances for these non-union employees; and
WHEREAS, there needs to be a written policy in place to ensure there is no
confusion between union and non-union employee .benefits.
. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City Council
adds Section 3.50 to the Mounds View Personnel Manual as follows:
Section 3.50 Uniform Allowances
The Mounds View Public Works, non-union employees, are authorized the
same uniform allowance reimbursement benefits as the Public Works
Union employees as outlined in the Public Works Union Contract.
The Mounds View Police, non-union employees, are authorized the same
uniform allowance reimbursement benefits as the Police L. E.L.S Union
employees as outlined in the L.E.L.S. Police Sergeants union contract.
