STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING 2006 VEHICLE PURCHASE FOR THE POLICE
DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the Mounds View Police Department planned and budgeted for replacement
of one squad car and one staff car in 2006, and;
WHEREAS, the replacement cost of one squad car was budgeted in 2006 at an
estimated cost of $23,000, plus equipment and setup, and the replacement cost for the staff car
(1994 Ford Taurus) was budgeted at an estimated cost of $19,000 plus equipment and setup,
and;
WHEREAS, Elk River Ford was awarded the state bid for the 2006 Ford Crown Victoria
Police Interceptor Package for 2006 at an approximate cost of $22,200, and Car Truck City was
awarded the state bid for the 2006 Chevrolet Impala (non-police package) at an approximate cost
of $16,900.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council for the City of Mounds
• View authorizes the purchase of one 2006 Ford Crown Victoria police vehicle under the state bid
at an approximate cost of $22,000, and the purchase of one 2006 Chevrolet Impala under the
state bid at an approximate cost of $16,900 for a total cost of $39,100, including tax, registration,
and license fees.
