CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CONTRACT FOR FURNATURE AND
EQUIPMENT FOR THE CITY HALL RENOVATION PROJECT
WHEREAS, on April 25, 2005, the City Council approved Resolution No.
6502 authorizing the City Hall Renovation Project; and
WHEREAS, proposals for the furniture and fixtures portion of the project
were researched and obtained by staff who contacted vendors utilizing state or
government contract pricing; and
WHEREAS, four proposals were received, of which the preferred proposal
was from General Office Products of Minneapolis Minnesota in the amount of
$61,525; and
WHEREAS, some of the old furniture which is broken down, mismatched,
• or not functional for the remodel project is currently stored and needs to be
disposed of, and public works staff are available to assist with this through direct
disposal or arranging its disposal through MN Materials and Services Distribution
Offices in Arden Hills.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
That the contract for the purchase of furniture and fixtures is herby
awarded to General Office Products in the amount of $61,525
2. Funds for this project are to be derived from the special project
account # 280-4180-7050-100.
3. That city staff is authorized to dispose of old equipment and
furniture that is currently stored and will not be utilized in the
remodel.
