CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
AUTHORIZATION OF THE EXECUTION OF EASEMENTS ASSOCIATED
WITH THE COUNTY ROAD J IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, the proposed improvements for the County Road J
Project are to widen County Road J to accommodate a continuous four-lane
divided roadway with a raised center median, left and right turn lanes at
intersections, and a continuous pedestrian path. Other improvements include
replacing of the bridge over I-35W, installing two additional trafFic signals, minor
intersection improvements, and modifications to several driveways and access
points along the corridor; and
WHEREAS, Ramsey County, via their consultant, has submitted
two easement documents with a request for their execution; and
WHEREAS, Ramsey County is required to provide storm water
quality and detention ponding as part of this project; and
• WHEREAS, a temporary construction easement is also needed for
grade adjustments associated with the widening of County Road J as a result of
turn and acceleration lanes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
The execution of a permanent drainage and ponding easement
along with a temporary construction easement submitted on behalf
of Ramsey County for improvements associated with the County
Road J Improvement Project is hereby approved.
2. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and
directed to execute said easements.
3. Execution of said easements will be contingent on approval by the
City's legal counsel ~
