CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPROVE CONTRACT WITH AMERICAN ENGINEERING TESTING, INC. TO PROVIDE
ASBESTOS AND REGULATED WASTE INSPECTION AT THE PUBLIC WORKS FACILITY
WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View is designing a new Public Works Facility to replace
the existing facility; and,
WHEREAS, the new facility will require the demolition of the existing facility; and,
WHEREAS, the existing facility was built in an era where the possibility of regulated
materials such as asbestos and lead were likely used in the construction; and,
WHEREAS, these materials require special demolition techniques and disposal; and,
WHEREAS, an inventory to identify and quantify these materials prior to demolition will
allow for a timely disposal plan to be developed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View,
Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
1. American Engineering Testing, Inc. is authorized to perform asbestos and regulated
waste inspection at the Public Works Facility.
2. The Mayor and City Administrator are authorized to execute all appropriate
documents and enter into a professional services agreement, for and on behalf of the
City, with American Engineering Testing, Inc. to effectuate the actions contemplated
by this Resolution.
