APPROVE ADDITIONAL FUNDING FOR THE 2016 SANITARY SEWER REHABILITATION
PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Mounds View City Council awarded a contract for the 2016 Sanitary
Sewer Rehabilitation Project (City Project No. 2016-004) to Lametti & Sons, Inc.; and,
WHEREAS, two emergency sanitary sewer repairs have been performed on the sanitary
sewer main under Spring Lake Road in the last year; and,
WHEREAS, lining an additional 795 feet of sanitary sewer on Spring Lake Road will
greatly reduce the chances for additional emergency repairs; and,
WHEREAS, there is sufficient funding available in the Sanitary Sewer Fund (730-4823-
7050) to add the additional lining to the contract with Lametti & Sons, Inc.; and,
WHEREAS, Lametti & Sons, Inc. has the capacity to complete this work in a timely
manner.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View,
Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
1. The lining of an additional 795 linear feet of sanitary sewer under Spring Lake Road
shall be added to the existing contract with Lametti & Sons, Inc.
2. The 2016 Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project funding is increased in the amount of
$18,285.00, with no increase in the contingency amount.
3. Funding for the additional work shall be from the Sanitary Sewer Fund (730-4823-
7050) in the amount of$18,285.00.
