CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
AUTHORIZING INSTALLATION OF NETWORK CABLE FOR SECURITY
CAMERAS AT CITY HALL AND THE COMMUNITY CENTER
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to improve security in and around City
facilities; and
WHEREAS, Bethlehem Baptist Church has provided a grant of $2,000 for
the installation of cameras at the Community Center; and
WHEREAS, staff has been working with the City of Roseville staff and their
cabling contractor to design a system that will provide for an initial installation of
cameras and for future installations; and
WHEREAS, the first step in camera installation is to install cable to connect
cameras at both City Hall and the Community Center; and
WHEREAS, MTG has provided a quote of $11,819 to install all necessary
cable, connections, racks, and switches, and to test all connections. The Special
Projects Fund has a budget of $40,000 for cabling and cameras.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council of the City of
Mounds View does authorize the installation of cable by MTG at City Hall and the
Community Center.
