CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPROVE CONTRACT WITH WSB &ASSOCIATES, INC. TO PROVIDE GEOTECHNICAL
SERVICES RELATED TO THE PUBLIC WORKS FACILITY
WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View is designing a new Public Works Facility; and,
WHEREAS, there is a need to investigate the geotechnical characteristics of the planned Public
Works Facility site; and,
WHEREAS, four firms provided proposals for geotechnical services; and,
WHEREAS, WSB & Associates, Inc.'s proposal was determined to provide the best value for the
design of the Public Works Facility; and,
WHEREAS, the City Engineer recommends that WSB & Associates, Inc.'s proposal be accepted
to provide geotechnical services related to the Public Works Facility.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, Ramsey
County, Minnesota as follows:
1. WSB and Associates, Inc. is authorized to perform geotechnical services related to the Public
Works Facility in the amount of$6,875.00.
2. The Director of Public Works is authorized to make approvals related to contract modifications
during the workup to a total of$135 (2% contingency) on behalf of the City Council.
3. Funding for the contract shall be from the Special Projects Fund (480-4180-7050) for a
amount not to exceed $7,010.00, which includes a 2% contingency of$135.00 for minor work
associated with project unknowns.
4. The Mayor and City Administrator are authorized to execute all appropriate documents and
enter into a professional services agreement, for and on behalf of the City, with WSB &
Associates, Inc. to effectuate the actions contemplated by this Resolution.
