CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF SECURITY CAMERAS FOR CITY HALL
AND THE COMMUNITY CENTER
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to improve security in and around City
facilities; and
WHEREAS, Bethlehem Baptist Church has provided a grant of $2,000 for
the installation of cameras at the Community Center; and
WHEREAS, staff has been working with the City of Roseville IT staff and
their cabling contractor to design a system that will provide for an initial installation
of cameras and for future installations; and
WHEREAS, the network cables are being installed and will soon be ready
for cameras to be plugged in; and
WHEREAS, Paragon Solutions Group has provided the lowest quote for the
complete camera system of $29,391. The Special Projects Fund has a budget of
$40,000 for cabling and security cameras and $40,000 additional budget for
Community Center improvements. The total network cabling and security camera
project will be $41,210.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council of the City of
Mounds View does authorize the purchase of security cameras from Paragon
Solutions Group for $29,391.
