CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPROVING A JOB DESCRIPTION
AND AUTHORIZATION TO ADVERTISE
FOR THE
COMMUNITY SERVICE OFFICER (CSO) POSITION
WHEREAS, during the September Work Session, it was the consensus of the City
Council to revise the Public Service Officer(PSO) position to a Community Service Officer
(CSO) Position;
WHEREAS, while the PSO position has similar services as the CSO, it is the
intention of the Mounds View Police Department to mentor and prepare the person as a
potential police officer candidate; and
WHEREAS, the person who had been serving as the City's PSO has resigned and
taken a job in a different community; and
WHEREAS, during the September Work Session the City Council reviewed the CSO
job description and it was the consensus of the Council to move forward with approval of
the job description and starting of the hiring process.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds
View, Ramsey County, Minnesota, to approve the job description for Community Service
Officer (CSO) and advertise for the position.
