ACCEPT QUOTES AND AUTHORIZE CONTRACT FOR STORM SEWER REPAIRS ON
COUNTY ROAD H2
WHEREAS, the storm sewer structure on County Road H2 has deteriorated and has
partially crushed lines causing the road surface to settle; and
WHEREAS, two quotes for repair were requested and received to repair the storm sewer
structure and lines; and
WHEREAS, Dave Perkins Contracting, Inc. had the lowest quote of $30,946.00 to
complete the repairs; and
WHEREAS, there is currently sufficient funding to repair this structure and lines in the
Storm Water System Maintenance Budget (745-4415-5150).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View,
Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
1. The bid proposal for $30,946.00 submitted by Dave Perkins Contracting, Inc. of
Nowthen, Minnesota for storm sewer repairs on County Road H2 is hereby approved.
2. City Staff is authorized to prepare a construction contract agreement between the City
of Mounds View and Dave Perkins Contracting, Inc. for$30,946.00.
3. The Director of Public Works is authorized to make approvals related to additional
work resulting from unknown conditions discovered during construction of the project
up to a combined total of$3,000 (10% contingency) on behalf of the City Council.
4. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed, for and on
behalf of the City, to execute and enter into a construction contract agreement with
Dave Perkins Contracting, Inc.
5. Funding for this project will come from the Storm Water System Maintenance Budget
(745-4415-5150).
