APPROVE AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT WITH BOLTON AND MENK, INC. FOR ADDITIONAL
SERVICES RELATED TO SUIP, AREA I
WHEREAS, Bolton & Menk, Inc. was awarded the design services for Street and Utility
Improvement Project, Area I under Resolution 8449 on August 24, 2015; and
WHEREAS, Bolton & Menk, Inc. was awarded the construction services for Street and Utility
Improvement Project, Area I under Resolution 8537 on March 28, 2016; and
WHEREAS, additional professional services related to the construction of Area I are required due
to adding Quincy Street between County Road I and Hillview Road and related deep sanitary sewer, poor
soils, splitting the project over two construction seasons, and additional project coordination; and
WHEREAS, the cost of the additional services is $53,825; and
WHEREAS, there is sufficient funding in the Street Improvement budget (485-4470-7050) for this
additional effort.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, Ramsey
County, Minnesota as follows:
1. Bolton & Menk, Inc. is authorized to perform the additional required services to complete
Street and Utility Improvement Project, Area I.
2. Additional required funding in the amount of $53,825 is approved and shall come from the
Street Improvement budget (485-4470-7050).
3. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to execute all
appropriate documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by this Resolution.
4. The Mayor and City Administrator, staff and consultants are hereby authorized and directed
to take any and all additional steps and actions necessary or convenient in order to accomplish
the intent of this Resolution.
